The Separation were a chaotic hardcore band from Redding, CA. Their city sucked and as a result, they made some of the most intense music I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. They take some cues from Catharsis and Neurosis, but their background in bands comes from the 90s hardcore sounds of bands like Trial. Really good, and unfortunately, they just ended their run as a band. Check this out, and if you like it, buy their full length!
